Mapa
Bristol Map Poster & Print
Bristol, Tennessee, shares its downtown with Bristol, Virginia. The state line runs down the middle of State Street, so one side of the street is in Tennessee and the other in Virginia. On the map, the city's grid of streets fits into the valleys and ridges of the southern Appalachian foothills, spreading outward from this shared centre.
Bristol is known as the Birthplace of Country Music, based on the 1927 Bristol Sessions, recordings that introduced performers such as the Carter Family and Jimmie Rodgers to a wide audience. The city is also home to Bristol Motor Speedway, whose oval shape appears clearly on the map to the south of the city centre.
A Bristol map poster shows the balance between a traditional railroad-era downtown and a landscape of ridges and hollows. Streets curve around the hills beyond the centre, and the speedway's compact oval becomes one of the most recognisable shapes on the print.

Speedway oval
Bristol Motor Speedway forms a tight, recognisable oval south of the centre. It is a distinctive geometric shape among the curving roads.
Foothill streets
Beyond downtown, roads follow the ridges and valleys of the foothills. The map becomes looser and more fluid there than in the central grid.
