Streets on slopes
The roads curve and break to follow the hills. The poster has no straight grid, and each cluster of blocks lies at its own angle.

Mapa
Las Delicias Map Poster & Print
Las Delicias is a community in Baja California, in the hilly country near the United States border. The land here is uneven, and it shapes the map more than any plan does. Streets follow the slopes, stop where the ground falls away and restart on the next ridge, so the plan looks patchy and angular instead of a single regular grid.
This is a young, mainly residential place. It grew as the cities of northern Baja California expanded and new neighbourhoods filled the surrounding hills. Short blocks, small house lots and roads squeezed between ravines are typical, with dry, unbuilt ground left wherever the slope is too steep.
A Las Delicias map poster turns this terrain into line work. The pale gaps are drainage channels and hillsides, and the dense patches are neighbourhoods on flatter ground. The result looks a little like a topographic sketch drawn only with streets.

Dry ravines
Steep channels between neighbourhoods stay unbuilt. They cross the map as pale gaps and divide the community into distinct sections.
Border country
The place sits in the hills close to the international line. The map places it in the dry, rugged landscape of northern Baja California instead of on the coast.

Zašto Las Delicias
Mapa koja nešto znači
A map of Las Delicias suits anyone who lived on one of these hillside streets, or whose family built a house here as the area grew. The irregular plan is unlike anywhere else and easy to recognise once you know it.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates to mark a street, a move or a family date. The five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, give the same streets quite different moods, and Sand suits the dry setting especially well.
