Valley-floor layout
The town stretches along the valley rather than spreading outward, giving the poster a long, directional composition shaped by the terrain.

Mapa
Shixing Map Poster & Print
Shixing is a county of Shaoguan, in the mountainous north of Guangdong province, close to the boundary with Jiangxi. Its main town occupies a valley floor, and from above the built-up area is long and narrow, held in place by green slopes. Streets run parallel to the river and the valley, with shorter cross streets reaching toward the hills on either side.
This part of Guangdong feels far removed from the dense urban grid of the Pearl River Delta. The map shows a smaller town with older lanes near the river and newer, wider blocks toward the edges, where residential districts have been laid out in recent decades. Roads and rail follow the valley too, taking the easiest route through the mountains.
The county is known for the Chebaling nature reserve, a protected area of subtropical forest in its hills, and for its Hakka heritage, shared with much of northern Guangdong. A Shixing map poster frames the town as the valley shapes it, a band of streets along the water with the blank space of the mountains pressing in from both sides.

Riverside streets
Older streets run close to the river, forming the densest part of the map, where lanes are short and closely packed together.
Mountain margins
Forested slopes surround the town, leaving wide empty areas on the print that make the narrow band of streets stand out clearly.

Zašto Shixing
Mapa koja nešto znači
For people who grew up in Shixing and moved to Guangzhou, Shenzhen or overseas, the shape of the valley is the shape of home. A map poster captures it in a way that feels precise and personal at the same time, without relying on photographs.
The title and subtitle can carry a family name, a date or a short line of your own, and the coordinates can be adjusted. Five styles are available; Paper and Sand suit the green hills of the north particularly well when printed on matte paper.
