Brodowski Map Poster & Print
Brodowski is a town in the north of São Paulo state, a short distance from Ribeirão Preto. On a map it forms a neat, compact grid of streets on gently rolling ground, with a central square and church at its heart and a railway line that historically shaped its growth. Beyond the last blocks, fields and plantations stretch in every direction.
The town is known above all as the birthplace of Candido Portinari, one of Brazil's most important painters, whose murals include War and Peace at the United Nations headquarters in New York. His childhood home is now the Casa de Portinari museum, where visitors can see murals he painted on its walls and in a small family chapel.
A Brodowski map poster is modest and orderly. The regular grid of the town, the railway line and the roads leading toward Ribeirão Preto give it a clear structure, and the surrounding farmland provides a calm, open frame. For admirers of Portinari, it is also a way to mark the place where his work began.

Casa de Portinari
The painter's childhood home, now a museum, sits in the town centre, where his murals remain on the walls of the house and its chapel.
Railway and farmland
The railway line that helped the town grow crosses the map, and fields spread out beyond the streets, giving the poster an open, rural edge.
