KU Leuven Map Poster & Print
KU Leuven has no single enclosed campus in the usual sense. In Leuven itself, university buildings are scattered through the historic centre, a city of irregular medieval streets held inside a ring road that traces its former walls. The Dijle river winds north through the middle, and colleges, libraries and lecture halls sit beside houses, squares and shops throughout the town.
Founded in 1425, it is one of the oldest universities in Europe. Its University Library on Ladeuzeplein, rebuilt after the First World War, stands a short walk from the Grote Markt, and south of the city the Arenberg Castle campus in Heverlee houses science and engineering. The university also has a campus in Kortrijk, on the edge of that city.
A KU Leuven map poster shows a university that has grown with its surroundings rather than apart from them. Old streets radiate from the centre towards the ring, the river cuts across the pattern, and the larger green sites of the Arenberg estate and the Kortrijk campus give the map open ground to balance the dense town.

University Library
The library building on Ladeuzeplein, with its tall tower, faces a broad square a short walk from the Grote Markt and is one of the university's best-known landmarks.
Campuses beyond the centre
The Arenberg campus in Heverlee and the Kortrijk campus both sit on larger, greener sites, where buildings stand among lawns and trees instead of tight city blocks.

Kwa nini KU Leuven
Ramani yenye maana
KU Leuven alumni tend to remember a city rather than a campus: cycling between faculties, evenings on the Oude Markt, long exam weeks in the library. A map holds that whole student town in one frame, including the corners only students know.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can carry a name, faculty or year, and the map comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Try the free 900 px preview first, then choose the $9 files or a print.
