Opelika Map Poster & Print
Opelika grew up around the railroad in the nineteenth century, and the map still shows it. Rail lines cross the centre of town, and the historic downtown lines up alongside them in a tight grid of short blocks. Beyond that core, streets loosen into curving subdivisions and wide commercial roads, with Interstate 85 sweeping across the southern side on its way between Montgomery and Atlanta.
As the seat of Lee County, Opelika shares its western edge with Auburn, and on a map the two towns run together into one continuous street network. Opelika's side reads a little older and more rectilinear near the tracks, while newer neighbourhoods toward the edges follow the rolling terrain of east Alabama.
On the edge of town, Saugahatchee Lake adds a long, branching shape of open water, bordered by the fairways of the Grand National courses on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. An Opelika map poster brings together the straight lines of a railroad town and these softer lakeside curves in a single frame.

Saugahatchee Lake
An irregular reservoir with many arms and coves, it forms the largest area of water on the map and is framed by winding golf course roads.
Interstate 85
The interstate crosses the map in a long smooth arc, its interchanges marked by looping ramps that contrast with the older right-angled streets near the tracks.

Kwa nini Opelika
Ramani yenye maana
Opelika draws people for work, for Auburn University next door, or for a round on the Grand National courses, and many end up staying. A map of the town is a quiet way to mark that attachment, whether it hangs in a first home or an office downtown.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are yours to change, so the poster can name a street, a wedding date or a family. Pick one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Sand, as a $9 digital download or a printed poster.
