Szigetszentmiklós Map Poster & Print
Szigetszentmiklós lies on Csepel Island, the long island in the Danube that begins in southern Budapest and stretches far to the south. The town occupies the northern part of the island, just beyond the city limits, so water frames its map. The calm Ráckeve Danube arm runs along one side, and the main river flows past the island's western shore.
Within that setting, the town is mostly low-rise and residential. Older village streets surround the historic centre, and newer suburban grids have spread out from them as Budapest grew. A Szigetszentmiklós map poster shows these layers clearly, along with the ribbon of gardens and weekend plots that line the riverbank.
The M0 ring road around Budapest crosses the island near the town, and its long curve, with bridges over both Danube channels, is one of the strongest lines on the map. The name combines the Hungarian word for island with Saint Nicholas. Today the town is part of the wider Budapest agglomeration.

M0 ring road
Budapest's motorway ring sweeps across Csepel Island here. It bridges both channels of the Danube in a long, bold curve across the map.
Village and suburb
An older core of irregular streets sits inside newer residential grids. The pattern shows how the town grew from a village into a suburb.
