Áno Liósia Map Poster & Print
Áno Liósia lies on the western edge of the Athens basin, at the foot of Mount Parnitha. On the map, a dense pattern of residential streets gives way to the slopes and open ground of the mountain to the north, with main roads linking the suburb to central Athens.
A suburban railway line serves the area, and the town hosted wrestling and judo events at the 2004 Olympic Games in a purpose-built hall that still stands. The suburb has grown steadily over recent decades, and its streets fill much of the flat land between hills and highways.
An Áno Liósia map poster shows the edge of a great city. The tightly packed blocks of the suburb, the rail line and the rising ground to the north create a composition with a clear transition from urban density to open landscape.
