Bāgh Map Poster
Bāgh is the headquarters of Bagh District in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, set among the hills of the Pir Panjal foothills. The terrain dictates everything here: the town stretches along valley floors and lower slopes, and roads wind in switchbacks to reach villages on the ridges above.
Bāgh was among the places severely affected by the 2005 Kashmir earthquake, and much of the town was rebuilt in the years that followed. The map today shows a compact centre in the valley, with bazaar streets and public buildings grouped closely, and housing climbing outward wherever the slopes allow.
A Bāgh map poster captures the relationship between settlement and mountain landscape. Streets that look irregular on the ground make sense from above, tracing the contours and the course of the valley, and the winding roads give the print a flowing, organic quality.

Contour-following roads
Roads climb out of town in long curves and switchbacks, their shapes determined by the steep slopes, which gives the map a distinctly mountainous character.
Scattered hillside housing
Homes and small clusters spread up the lower slopes, so the density fades gradually from the valley into the surrounding hills.
