Street village
Houses line the main roads instead of clustering around one square. The village takes a long, curving shape that follows the land.

Bilicenii Vechi Map Poster & Print
Bilicenii Vechi is a village in the Sîngerei district of northern Moldova, in the gently rolling farmland of the Bălți steppe region. Like many Moldovan villages, it is laid out along a road and a shallow valley. Houses face the street, and long, narrow garden plots run back from each one toward the fields.
This linear pattern is common across the region and reflects generations of small-scale farming. Orchards, vegetable plots and vineyards sit behind the houses, and wider arable land starts where the village ends. The name, meaning Old Bilicenii, points to its relationship with a nearby village of the same base name.
A Bilicenii Vechi map poster shows the character of a Moldovan village very clearly. The main streets curve along the valley, the narrow plots form fine repeated stripes, and open land fills the edges. It is a calm, orderly design that feels close to the ground.

Strip plots
Narrow gardens and orchards stretch back from each house. On the map they form fine parallel strips on either side of the streets.
Rolling farmland
Around the village, the northern Moldovan steppe opens into wide fields. This leaves a lot of pale space around the settlement.
