Carquefou Map Poster & Print
Carquefou lies just north-east of Nantes, and its map shows a town in transition between city and countryside. The western edge follows the Erdre, a slow river with wooded banks and riverside estates. The town centre sits inland, with residential neighbourhoods around it and business parks along the main roads.
The Erdre has a long reputation as one of the most attractive rivers in France, and its banks around Carquefou are lined with woods, pleasure boats and old manor houses. On the eastern and southern sides, the motorway and Nantes' ring road create firm, sweeping lines that frame the town.
A Carquefou map poster combines these elements in a balanced way. The Erdre adds a soft, meandering line, the older centre forms a small cluster of streets, and the newer districts and road interchanges fill the rest of the frame. The mix of curves and straight lines gives the design a pleasing tension.
