The railway line
A straight rail line runs past the town, and the station gives the place its common name. On the poster it is the boldest, most direct line.

Chāndūr Map Poster & Print
Chāndūr lies in the Amravati district of Maharashtra, in the Vidarbha region. The town is often called Chandur Railway after its station. From above, the rail line is the organising feature of the map. It cuts a clean, straight diagonal past the built-up area, and the streets gather on either side of it.
Around the town, the land is the flat, black-soil plain typical of Vidarbha, long associated with cotton farming. The settlement is compact. Its main roads lead to the station and the market, and a denser network of lanes fills the blocks in between before it thins out into fields.
A Chāndūr map poster reads best with the railway in the frame. The straight line of the track against the looser pattern of the town gives the drawing tension and direction. It suits the Blueprint style especially well, where the contrast between engineered and organic lines becomes the subject.

Market core
The older lanes cluster near the main roads and market area. They form the densest part of the map, with irregular blocks and narrow streets.
Vidarbha plain
Flat farmland surrounds the town on all sides, so the edges of the map dissolve into open space and scattered field tracks.
