Fontana Map Poster & Print
Fontana is a city in the Argentine province of Chaco, on the western side of the Greater Resistencia urban area. The land is almost perfectly flat, and the street plan reflects it: a regular checkerboard of square blocks laid across the plain, with a few wide avenues leading east towards the provincial capital.
The Chaco lowlands are very wet, and water plays a big role in the map. Shallow lagoons and marshy low ground interrupt the grid in several places, leaving irregular, open shapes where streets end or bend around them. Near the edges of the city, the blocks give way to smallholdings, drainage ditches and open fields.
The Fontana map poster shows this simple but striking contrast between a rigid grid and the soft outlines of water. Few places show so clearly how a planned layout adapts to wet ground. In black and white, the pattern becomes almost abstract, a good choice for anyone who appreciates clean geometry with a touch of irregularity.

Lagoons and low ground
Shallow lagoons break the grid in places. Their rounded, irregular edges contrast sharply with the straight streets around them.
Avenues to Resistencia
Wide roads link Fontana with the rest of the metropolitan area, forming the strongest lines on the map and pointing east towards the capital.
