Frattaminore Map Poster & Print
Frattaminore sits in the flat, fertile plain north of Naples, in the stretch of Campania once known as the Atellan area. The towns here have grown until they touch one another. On a map, Frattaminore is less an island than part of a continuous built-up area, with its own centre among blocks that continue into the next town.
The town's name and its larger neighbour Frattamaggiore point to a shared past. Both are old farming settlements that grew side by side, and their streets now meet with almost no open ground between them. The old centre shows the usual southern Italian pattern of narrow streets, courtyards and a main square.
A Frattaminore map poster shows this density clearly. The black lines crowd together, the gaps between blocks are small, and the few open plots stand out as pale spaces. It shows everyday Campania: a town shaped by centuries of farming and, more recently, by the growth of greater Naples.

Courtyard blocks
The older parts are built around inner courtyards, a common Campanian type. From above, these show up as solid blocks with small pale openings inside them.
The Campanian plain
The ground is flat and the roads are mostly straight. The street pattern hardly bends, which gives the poster an even, textile-like texture from corner to corner.
