Goianira Map Poster & Print
Goianira is a municipality in the metropolitan area of Goiânia, the capital of the state of Goiás, lying to the northwest of the city. The surrounding landscape is the cerrado, the savanna of central Brazil, and on the map the town appears as a spreading pattern of streets set within open, gently rolling land.
Like many towns around Goiânia, Goianira has grown quickly as the metropolitan area expanded. Its layout shows this growth clearly: an older centre with a modest grid, surrounded by newer subdivisions laid out in regular blocks, some still only partly filled in, with roads connecting them to the capital.
Beyond the built-up area, farmland and patches of cerrado vegetation fill the landscape, crossed by streams and rural roads. A Goianira map poster captures a town in the middle of growth, with its compact core, the geometric blocks of new neighbourhoods and the open country of Goiás around it.
