Haitang Map Poster & Print
Haitang is a town in the eastern part of Chongqing municipality, a region where the Sichuan Basin gives way to longer ridges and deeper valleys. From above, the settlement appears as a narrow band of streets following the valley floor, with the terrain rising on either side and fields fitting into every level patch of ground.
The shape of the town is dictated by topography. Where land is scarce, buildings line the main road, side streets are short, and the built-up area stretches along the valley rather than spreading in every direction. On a map this produces an elongated form, framed by winding rural roads that climb away into the hills.
A Haitang map poster shows a place defined by its setting. The central street forms a clear spine, the surrounding roads trace the contours of the land, and the countryside fills the frame with a looser, irregular texture. It is a quiet image of rural Chongqing, meaningful for those who know it and interesting for anyone who enjoys terrain on a map.

Contour roads
Secondary roads leave the town and wind uphill, their curves following the terrain and giving the edges of the map a flowing character.
Folded hill country
Ridges and slopes surround Haitang on several sides, visible as open space broken by fields and small settlements.
