Chenab river
The river runs through a deep valley below the town. Its long curve is the strongest natural line on the map and shapes every road nearby.

Kishtwār Map Poster & Print
Kishtwār is a town in Jammu and Kashmir, on a raised plateau above the Chenab river, deep in the mountains. On the map the town is a small cluster of streets on relatively flat ground, with the land dropping away sharply to the river valleys around it.
The Chenab and its tributaries define the region. Roads follow the gorges, hug the valley sides and bend repeatedly to keep a workable gradient. The district is known for its saffron, grown on the plateau, and for Kishtwar National Park in the high mountains to the east.
A Kishtwār map poster places the town inside this landscape: a compact knot of lanes, the curve of the river below, and roads running out along the valleys. Even without shading, the winding lines make the steepness of the terrain clear.

Plateau town
The town sits on a comparatively level shelf of land, so its streets cluster tightly in a way that stands out against the mountains around it.
Valley roads
Roads follow the gorges in winding lines, bending with the valley walls, which gives the outer parts of the map a loose, flowing look.
