The Poonch River
The river winds through the valley past the town and is the strongest shape on the map. Most of the built area sits close to its banks.

Kotli Map Poster & Print
Kotli lies in southern Azad Kashmir, where the Poonch River runs through a valley surrounded by hills. The town follows the water. From above, streets bunch together on the flatter land near the river and then thin out along roads that climb the hillsides.
There is no neat grid here. Lanes curve with the ground, and the main roads follow the valley rather than cutting across it. The river is the clearest line on the map, and the town is built on either side of it within a basin of higher ground.
Kotli is the headquarters of its district and a market centre for the surrounding villages. Many families from the area have relatives abroad, especially in Britain, so the town is often remembered from a distance. A Kotli map poster keeps its streets and river in one frame.

Valley roads
Main roads run along the valley floor and out toward nearby towns, drawing long, curving lines across the frame instead of a regular street pattern.
Surrounding hills
Higher ground rises around the town, and the street network thins out quickly as it climbs, which gives the map a clear edge.
