Luduş is a town in Mureș County, Romania, on the Mureș river where it crosses the Transylvanian Plain. The valley here is broad and flat, and the town spreads comfortably across it. On a map it is organised by two strong lines: the river on one side and the railway tracks through the middle.
Luduş is an important railway junction, where lines toward Cluj, Târgu Mureș and the rest of Transylvania meet. The station area and the tracks leaving it in several directions are one of the most distinctive features of the town plan. Around them, streets of houses and gardens fill the valley floor.
