Mani is a town in the Est region of Burkina Faso, on the broad savanna of the country's eastern half. The landscape around it is open and fairly flat, used for farming and grazing, with seasonal watercourses that fill during the rains and dry out for much of the year.
From above, Mani is a loose settlement. A few main roads cross the town, while the housing areas around them follow a mix of rough blocks and footpaths. Toward the edges the pattern thins into scattered compounds and tracks leading to fields and nearby villages.
