Cane field blocks
Wide, regular fields of sugarcane cover the lowland. Their boundaries give the poster a pattern of large, calm geometric shapes.

Muhoroni Map Poster & Print
Muhoroni lies in the east of Kisumu County, in the sugar belt of western Kenya. The Kano plains meet the rising ground of the Nandi escarpment here. On the map, the town is a small cluster of streets and plots near a meeting of roads and the railway line.
Around it, large areas of sugarcane fill the lowland in wide blocks, separated by field roads and drainage channels. The Muhoroni sugar factory has long been central to the local economy. The ground rises toward the east and north, and streams run down to the plains.
This is a working agricultural town, and its map reflects that. A Muhoroni map poster shows the patterns of cane country: straight farm roads, broad fields, a railway on its way to Kisumu and a small town where they meet.

Railway and roads
The railway and main roads cross near the town. Long lines link Muhoroni to Kisumu and the highlands and structure the composition.
Escarpment edge
The plains begin to rise toward the escarpment on the edge of the map. Streams run down, and the field pattern becomes less regular.
