Naryn River
The river runs the full length of the town, cutting through the valley floor. It sets the direction of every street and forms the main axis of the poster.

Naryn Map Poster & Print
Naryn sits at roughly two thousand metres in the Tian Shan of central Kyrgyzstan, on the river that shares its name. The valley here is narrow, and the town has had no choice but to grow lengthwise. From above, it is a thin ribbon of streets several kilometres long, following the river between steep slopes.
It is the capital of the Naryn Region and an important stop on the road south toward the Torugart Pass and the border with China. It is also home to a campus of the University of Central Asia. Winters are long and cold, and the surrounding mountains are open grazing land for much of the year.
A Naryn map poster turns that linear shape into a striking composition. The river and main road run parallel through the frame, the side streets are short and tight and the empty mountainsides press in from both sides.

Linear street plan
With little room to expand sideways, the town stretches along the valley. Parallel roads run for kilometres, crossed by short connecting streets.
Valley walls
Steep, mostly empty slopes rise on both sides of town. On the map they appear as open space that frames the narrow strip of streets.

Näme üçin Naryn
Many bar bolan karta
Naryn leaves a mark on travellers crossing the Tian Shan and on anyone who studied, worked or grew up in the valley. The unusual long, thin shape of the town makes a distinctive poster, especially in a wide format.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a name, a route or a year, and keep the coordinates line. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
