Ōkubo-naka Map Poster & Print
Ōkubo-naka lies in the southern part of Osaka Prefecture, in the belt of towns that runs along Osaka Bay towards Wakayama. From above, the area shows the fine, close grain of Japanese suburban neighbourhoods: narrow lanes, small plots and houses packed tightly together, with railways and main roads cutting through.
This part of the prefecture lies between the reclaimed coastline of the bay and the hills further inland. Small rivers run down towards the sea, and irrigation ponds, common in the Senshū area, appear as dark shapes among the streets and remaining fields.
An Ōkubo-naka map poster suits people who know the area from daily life: the walk to the station, the local shrine, the school. The dense street pattern produces a detailed, almost textile-like print, and the black and white styles bring out its intricacy well.

Irrigation ponds
Reservoir ponds, a long-standing feature of southern Osaka's farmland, show up as smooth open shapes within the built-up area.
Rail and roads
Railway lines and main roads run roughly parallel to the coast, giving the dense neighbourhood a clear framework.
