Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña Map Poster & Print
Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña is the second city of Argentina's Chaco Province, and it is named after the president who governed the country in the early twentieth century. It stands on the Chaco plain, which is so flat that the grid runs almost uninterrupted. Square blocks stretch in every direction until they meet farmland, cotton fields and dirt roads.
National Route 16 crosses the city and links it with Resistencia to the east and Santiago del Estero to the west, which makes it a hub for the whole central Chaco. The city is known for its thermal baths, fed by hot groundwater, and for its large zoo and nature park on the edge of town.
A Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña map poster is a study in regularity: the square Argentine grid at its most straightforward, with a few highways and rail lines cutting through at an angle. In the minimalist styles, that order becomes something close to graphic design.
