Yalgo Map Poster & Print
Yalgo is a town in the Centre-Nord region of Burkina Faso, in the transition zone between savanna and Sahel. On the map, it appears as a compact cluster of streets and compounds, with a few roads leading out across flat, open land. The surroundings are mostly fields and scrub, marked by thin tracks between villages.
In this part of the country, settlement patterns are shaped by farming and herding, and the rhythm of the rainy and dry seasons. From above, the land looks sparse, with scattered clusters of houses and seasonal watercourses. The town is the main local centre, where roads and paths come together.
A Yalgo map poster places the town at the centre of this wide landscape. The streets form a small, dense area of detail, the roads extend outward in long lines, and the open ground around them takes up much of the frame. The result is spare and calm, true to the place.

Open Sahelian land
Fields, scrub and seasonal watercourses surround the town, represented as light, open space that gives the composition its calm balance.
