Areeiro Map Poster & Print
Areeiro is a parish in central Lisbon, part of the planned expansion that pushed the city north in the twentieth century. From above, it contrasts sharply with the old, winding quarters by the river. Wide avenues run in straight lines, blocks are large and regular, and the streets form an orderly, generous grid.
At the heart of the district is the Praça do Areeiro, officially Praça Francisco Sá Carneiro, a formal square framed by symmetrical mid-century buildings. Avenida de Roma runs through the area as a main commercial street, and the square is an important crossing point on the road and metro network.
An Areeiro map poster shows modern Lisbon at its most planned. The square gives the composition a clear centre, the avenues radiate with confidence, and the regular blocks create a calm, repeating pattern. It suits anyone who has lived in these streets and wants a Lisbon map that feels different from the familiar riverside views.

Avenida de Roma
This long, straight avenue runs through the parish, lined with shops and cafés, and gives the grid a strong north–south axis.
Planned blocks
Large, regular blocks and wide streets reflect twentieth-century planning, a clear contrast with the old quarters near the Tagus.
