Bani Walid lies southeast of Tripoli, in the dry interior of northwestern Libya. It is built along Wadi Bani Walid, a long valley that cuts through the plateau and carries water only after rain. The wadi is the defining feature of the map, running through the town and dividing it into two banks.
Streets and buildings line the slopes on both sides of the valley and spread onto the flatter ground above. Roads cross the wadi at several points, and main routes head out across the plateau toward the coast and other towns. The land around is largely open and arid, which leaves the settlement clearly outlined.
The town is the traditional home of the Warfalla, one of the largest tribal groups in Libya. A Bani Walid map poster shows a place shaped by its valley, the town following the curve of the wadi through the desert.
The valley runs through the centre of town, its winding course forming a clear natural axis between the two built-up sides.
Neighbourhoods rise on either side of the wadi and spread onto the plateau, giving the map a mirrored, two-part structure.
Long roads leave the town across open, dry land toward the coast and other cities, straight lines surrounded by empty space.

Ko e hā ʻa Bani Walid
For families from Bani Walid, many of whom live in Tripoli, Misrata or abroad, a map of the town and its wadi is a lasting connection to home. You can add a family name, a date, or a line in any language you like to the title.
Sand fits the desert landscape well, and Paper gives it a soft tone. Classic black and white, Noir and Blueprint are the other options, each available as HD files or a printed poster.
