Ben Gardane lies in the far southeast of Tunisia, in Medenine Governorate, on flat, dry land not far from the Mediterranean and the Libyan frontier. Seen from above, the town spreads across the plain in a fairly loose pattern, with main roads running out of the centre toward neighbouring towns and the border crossing at Ras Ajdir.
The town is widely known for cross-border trade, and its markets have long drawn buyers from across southern Tunisia. On a map that role is visible in the way roads converge on the centre. Beyond the built area the land opens into farmland and scrub, and to the north the coast bends around shallow lagoon waters.
A Ben Gardane map poster captures the spare geometry of a town shaped by open space: broad blocks, long straight approaches and the pale surrounding plain. It is a considered piece for anyone with roots in the south of Tunisia, and a reminder of a place defined as much by its roads as by its buildings.
Main routes from the coast, from Medenine and from the border meet in the town, giving the map a clear hub-and-spoke structure that reads well in minimal line work.
The flat surrounding land leaves plenty of empty space around the settlement, so the street pattern stands out sharply against the plain on a black-and-white print.
To the north the land meets the Mediterranean in shallow lagoons and low shore, a soft, irregular edge that contrasts with the town's straight roads.

Families from Ben Gardane often live far from it, in Tunis, in Europe or elsewhere, and a map is a restrained way to keep the town close. It shows where the streets run and how the place meets the land, without needing any caption to explain it.
Add your own title, a family name or date as a subtitle, and keep or edit the coordinates. Pick from Classic, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download 300 DPI files in six print sizes or have the poster printed on matte paper.
