Beroroha is a small town in the Atsimo-Andrefana region of southwestern Madagascar, on the Mangoky River. It is a remote place, and the map shows it plainly: a small cluster of streets and tracks beside a broad, braided river channel, surrounded by a large, sparsely settled landscape.
The river dominates the view. Its wide sandy bed splits into several channels and rejoins them, and the pattern changes with the seasons. The town sits along its bank. A few roads and tracks lead away from it across dry country toward the wider region.
A Beroroha map poster is mostly landscape, with a small town at its centre. It is an unusual subject that emphasises open space and the shape of a great river, and it suits anyone connected to this part of Madagascar through family, work or travel.
One of Madagascar's major rivers passes the town in a wide, braided bed. On the poster its channels are the dominant shapes.
The town's modest network of streets sits close to the river and looks compact and self-contained against the open land.
A few roads and tracks lead away across the dry country and draw thin lines toward the edges of the frame.

Beroroha is a place few people visit by chance. For those who have lived, worked or done research there, a map poster is a meaningful record of a remote river town and the landscape around it.
