Corsico lies just southwest of Milan, along the Naviglio Grande. This canal, dug in the Middle Ages, once carried goods and building stone into the city. Today the waterway still runs through the heart of the town, and its towpaths have become a popular route for walkers and cyclists heading to and from Milan.
