Dapaong is the capital of the Savanes region, the northernmost part of Togo, close to the borders with Burkina Faso and Ghana. From above it is a town of radiating roads: the main north–south route through the country passes by, and smaller streets fan out from the centre into neighbourhoods of compounds and yards.
The surrounding landscape is dry savanna, dotted with farms, trees and small villages, and the town has long served as a market and administrative centre for this border region. To the south lies the Fosse aux Lions National Park, a protected area of woodland and rocky escarpment.
A Dapaong map poster reduces the town to its essential lines: the arterial roads, the irregular pattern of residential streets and the open land around. The result is a clean, graphic image of a place at a crossroads of the Sahel and the coastal south.
Regional roads meet at the town from several directions, giving the map a star-like structure with the centre at its heart.
Away from the main roads, streets become shorter and less regular, forming a fine, organic texture around the commercial core.
Farmland and scattered settlements fill the edges of the frame, leaving the town clearly defined against a wide, open landscape.

Ko e hā ʻa Dapaong
Dapaong is a meaningful place for families from the Savanes region and for those who have worked or travelled in northern Togo. A map poster keeps its layout close, whether in Lomé, Europe or elsewhere.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a name, a date or a message in French or a local language, and choose from five styles. The digital files include six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF.
