Guaçuí is in the south of Espírito Santo, Brazil, close to the border with Minas Gerais. The town lies in hilly country, on the approach to the Caparaó mountains, where some of Brazil's highest peaks are found. On a map, its streets bend along a valley and climb onto nearby slopes, with the countryside close on every side.
The region is known for agriculture, especially coffee grown on the hillsides, and the town serves as a local centre for surrounding farms. Its layout mixes a central area of more regular blocks with streets that twist to follow the land, a common pattern in the hill towns of southeastern Brazil.
A Guaçuí map poster captures that landscape-driven design. The main road threads through the valley, side streets rise in short curves, and open hills surround the whole. The result is an intimate, organic map of a mountain-country town.
The central streets occupy the flatter valley ground, forming the most regular and densely drawn part of the town.
Residential streets curve up the surrounding hills, their bends and switchbacks tracing the shape of the terrain.
Routes lead out into the hills toward the Caparaó region, thin lines crossing farmland and giving the poster a sense of setting.
