Kalamansig lies on the western coast of Sultan Kudarat province in Mindanao, facing the Celebes Sea. From above, the town's streets sit on a strip of low land between the shoreline and the hills. Beyond them the map becomes almost completely empty.
The town's life is closely tied to the sea and the surrounding land, including fishing, farming and the coastal settlements along the shore. The irregular coastline, with bays and headlands, gives the map strong natural lines that frame the small urban core.
A Kalamansig map poster is dominated by the coastline. The compact centre sits beside the sea, and roads and paths follow the shore. It is a quiet, spacious map that works well in the Blueprint style, where the water becomes a deep field of colour.
Bays and headlands shape the edge of the land. The coastline is the most distinctive line on the whole map.
The streets of Kalamansig form a small grid near the shore. It is a compact centre in a wide, open landscape.
Inland, the land rises into hills with very few roads. On the map they appear as large, calm areas.
