Mysłowice lies on the eastern edge of the Upper Silesian conurbation, next to Katowice. Its most distinctive map feature is water: the Czarna Przemsza and Biała Przemsza meet here to form the Przemsza, and the confluence gives the city's southeastern corner a clear, forked shape. Around it, the street pattern mixes an older compact centre with housing estates, rail lines and large former industrial sites.
Before 1914, the borders of the German, Austrian and Russian empires met at that confluence, a spot remembered as the Three Emperors' Corner. Today it is a quiet riverside place, but on a map the joining channels still mark where three states once touched. It is a rare case of a political history written directly into the lines of rivers.
Coal mining shaped the town for generations, and its imprint remains in rail sidings, spoil heaps and the broad footprints of pit sites between the neighbourhoods. A Mysłowice map poster shows this Silesian mix clearly: dense blocks near the market square, straight railway corridors, winding river valleys and the open patches where industry once stood.

Several rail lines cut through the city in long, straight arcs, a legacy of coal transport. They divide the street network into distinct districts and add strong diagonal lines to the poster.
The historic centre forms a small, tight cluster of streets around the market square. It contrasts with the looser estate layouts and the industrial land spreading outward.

Ko e hā ʻa Mysłowice
For people with roots in Silesia, Mysłowice stands for mining, family and a border region that has changed hands many times. The map records that landscape without nostalgia or decoration, which suits a working town with a complicated past.
