Allen is a suburb in Collin County, north of Dallas. On a map it is defined by US 75, the Central Expressway, running north to south through the city. Around it, arterial roads form a large square grid, and inside each square residential streets loop and curve into cul-de-sacs, a pattern typical of Texas suburbs.
