Te mapa
Ankleshwar lies in Gujarat on the south bank of the Narmada River, opposite the old city of Bharuch. Near here, the river is broad and slow as it approaches the Gulf of Khambhat. On the map, the wide water band and its sandbanks dominate the northern edge. The older town and the newer neighbourhoods spread south from the bank.
The town is best known for its GIDC industrial estate, one of the largest concentrations of chemical industry in India. Its large, regularly laid out plots stand out clearly on the map. The Golden Bridge, an iron bridge completed in 1881, crosses the Narmada toward Bharuch. Road and rail bridges on the Mumbai–Delhi corridor cross nearby.
An Ankleshwar map poster balances three parts: the wide river, the fine-grained old town and the ordered industrial estate. That combination makes a strong and unusual print. It is often chosen by people who have spent working years in the estate or who have family roots on either side of the Narmada.

The iron bridge completed in 1881 crosses the river toward Bharuch. It is one of several crossings that link the two towns.
The industrial estate is laid out in large rectangular plots and straight roads. It is a clearly planned block in contrast with the older town.

Koteā ko Ankleshwar
Ankleshwar prints are often hung by engineers and families who built their lives around the industrial estate, or by people from Bharuch across the river. The title, subtitle and coordinates can name the town, a plant, a date or a family.
The five styles are Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint suits the industrial layout. Noir makes the wide river stand out as a bold pale band.
