Railway-born centre
The oldest blocks follow the line of the former Noroeste railway, so the centre reads as a tidy grid aligned with the tracks rather than with the compass or the land around it.

Te mapa
Araçatuba grew up in the early twentieth century along the Noroeste railway, which pushed west across São Paulo state toward Mato Grosso. The map still shows that history. A central grid of short, regular blocks lies beside the tracks, and later neighbourhoods fan outward at slightly different angles as the city spread into the surrounding pasture.
The region made its name through cattle, and Araçatuba is still tied to beef ranching and the livestock trade. That reputation earned it the nickname of fat-cattle capital. At the edges of the urban area the streets give way quickly to large rural parcels, access roads and the thin lines of streams winding through open country.
An Araçatuba map poster turns that shift from town to country into a clear composition. Dense blocks sit at the centre, and the rail corridor and main highways cross it as long, confident strokes. At the edges the map softens into a sparse web of roads. In black and white the result is quiet and orderly, a portrait of an interior Brazilian city defined by its grid.
The oldest blocks follow the line of the former Noroeste railway, so the centre reads as a tidy grid aligned with the tracks rather than with the compass or the land around it.
Newer residential areas spread out from the core in patches, each with its own grid angle. This gives the outskirts a patchwork texture that contrasts with the regular centre.
Beyond the last streets the map opens into farmland and pasture, crossed by rural roads and small watercourses that trace the gentle relief of the western São Paulo plateau.

Koteā ko Araçatuba
For people from Araçatuba, or those who spent years there studying or working in agribusiness, the map is a precise reminder of familiar blocks and routes. It suits a hallway or a study, and it reads well at small sizes because the grid keeps its structure when scaled down.
You can set your own title and subtitle, add a date that matters to you and adjust the coordinates line. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Then download the $9 HD files or order a printed poster on matte paper.
