Te mapa
Três Lagoas lies in the east of Mato Grosso do Sul, on the Paraná River, which forms the border with São Paulo state. The city is named after the three lagoons within its urban area, and on a map they appear as irregular pools of water inside a largely regular street grid. The river beyond them is much wider and runs along the eastern edge.
The city grew as a railway town and is now an important industrial centre. Large pulp mills are supplied by eucalyptus plantations that cover much of the surrounding countryside. Just upstream, the Jupiá hydroelectric dam holds back part of the Paraná, and its reservoir shapes the shoreline close to the city.
A Três Lagoas map poster comes down to a clear composition: orderly blocks, three rounded lagoons set within them and a wide river frontage to one side. The contrast between straight streets and the soft shapes of the water makes the map easy to read and satisfying to look at, even in a small print size.
The lagoons that give the city its name sit within the urban grid and appear on the map as soft, irregular shapes surrounded by straight streets.
The broad Paraná marks the eastern edge of the city and the border with São Paulo state, giving the map a strong expanse of water on one side.
Much of Três Lagoas is laid out in straight blocks, which gives the city a calm, measured texture and makes the natural lagoon shapes stand out even more.

Koteā ko Três Lagoas
Três Lagoas is home to many people, including families drawn by work in the pulp industry. Few city maps are as easy to recognise at a glance, because the lagoons make it unmistakable.
You can personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, and choose one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint gives the water a crisp technical look. Paper and Sand make it warmer.
