Te mapa
Ashoknagar Kalyangarh lies in North 24 Parganas, north-east of Kolkata, on the low alluvial plain that stretches toward the Bangladesh border. The municipality grew from settlements laid out for refugees arriving from East Bengal after the 1947 Partition, and that origin still shows on the map: parts of the town have straighter roads and more regular plots than the villages around them.
The railway from Sealdah to Bangaon runs through the area, and the stations along it act as anchors for markets and denser streets. Beyond the planned core the pattern loosens into lanes that bend around ponds, tanks and bamboo groves, with small bodies of water appearing as dozens of scattered shapes across the delta landscape.
In 2018 the town drew national attention when the state oil company reported hydrocarbons from an exploratory well nearby, an unexpected turn for a quiet commuter town. An Ashoknagar Kalyangarh map poster sets that story aside and concentrates on the layout itself, the contrast between planned streets and the older, organic fabric of rural Bengal.
The core of Ashoknagar was laid out for families displaced by Partition, so its streets run straighter and its plots sit more regularly than in the surrounding villages.
The Sealdah to Bangaon line crosses the area in a long straight stroke, and the stations along it gather the densest streets and the main markets of the town.
Countless small ponds and tanks dot the land between houses. In black and white they appear as scattered solid shapes, a signature pattern of the Bengal plain.

Koteā ko Ashoknagar Kalyangarh
For many families this town is where grandparents rebuilt their lives after 1947, and a map of it carries that history quietly. It works as a gift for relatives who moved to Kolkata or abroad and still think of these streets as home.
Personalise the title, add a subtitle with a family name or a year, and adjust the coordinates line. Paper and Sand give a warmer, archival feel, Classic black and white and Noir keep it crisp, and Blueprint is the fifth option.
