Te mapa
Ban Samae Dam lies in the southwest of Bangkok, in the Bang Khun Thian area, which is the only part of the capital to reach the sea. On a map, the district looks quite different from central Bangkok. Canals run long and straight across the flat land, and the streets follow them, forming a grid shaped by water.
This part of the city was farmland and aquaculture for a long time, and much of the canal pattern dates from that period. The main roads, including the Rama II highway corridor, run through the area and carry traffic out toward the southwest. Housing estates, factories and remaining ponds fill the spaces between them.
A Ban Samae Dam map poster shows Bangkok's outer edge, where the city meets flat, low-lying land near the Gulf. In black and white, the canals and roads make a strong linear pattern. The housing estates between them add small, repeating blocks. It is a rare view of a part of the capital few people ever see from above.
Long, straight khlongs cross the area and divide it into large rectangular sections. They are the oldest structure in the landscape and guide the layout of the streets.
The major highway runs through the district toward the southwest. It forms one of the strongest lines on the map, lined with commercial and industrial buildings.
The land is flat and close to sea level, with ponds and open plots between the developments. The mix of water and built areas gives the map its texture.

Koteā ko Ban Samae Dam
For people who live in Ban Samae Dam or grew up in southwest Bangkok, a map of its canals and streets captures a side of the capital that tourist maps leave out. It is quietly personal.
Add a title and subtitle, perhaps with your soi, a family name or a date, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles. Blueprint suits the canal grid, and Noir gives it a calm, nocturnal feel.
