Te mapa
Banī Suwayf, often written Beni Suef, lies in Middle Egypt on the western bank of the Nile, south of Cairo. From above, the city sits within the narrow band of cultivated land that follows the river, with the desert beginning only a short distance away on either side, a pattern that defines much of Egypt's geography.
The city's streets run parallel to the river and extend inland toward farmland crossed by irrigation canals. Bridges link it with the eastern bank, and the main road and railway toward Upper Egypt pass close by. The governorate also contains the pyramid of Meidum, one of the earliest pyramids in Egypt, north of the city.
A Banī Suwayf map poster shows a city shaped by the Nile. The broad river, the grid of streets along its bank, the canals running through the fields and the abrupt edge of the desert make a composition that clearly shows how life in this part of Egypt is concentrated along the water.
The Nile runs along the eastern side of the city as a wide, dark band, with bridges crossing to the opposite bank and the riverside roads following its course.
West of the centre, canals divide the farmland into long plots, and their straight lines mark the agricultural belt that surrounds the city on the valley floor.
Beyond the green strip, the cultivated land ends suddenly at the desert, giving the map a sharp edge and showing how narrow the inhabited valley is here.

Koteā ko Banī Suwayf
For people from Banī Suwayf, and for those who have travelled along the Nile south of Cairo, a map of the city is a reminder of the river and the fields that shape it. The design turns familiar streets into a calm, graphic image.
Add a title in English or Arabic, a subtitle and the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand; Sand reflects the desert edge, while Noir gives the Nile a deep, strong presence.
