Te mapa
Banī Mazār is a town in the north of Minya Governorate in Middle Egypt, on the western side of the Nile Valley. From above, the valley reads as a narrow green corridor, with the river on one side and the desert plateau on the other. In between lies a dense patchwork of fields crossed by canals, roads and the main north–south railway.
The town itself is a compact cluster of streets that thins quickly into farmland, with villages scattered along the canals in every direction. A short distance to the west lies el-Bahnasa, the site of ancient Oxyrhynchus. Excavations there uncovered one of the largest collections of papyri ever found, including many Greek literary and administrative texts.
A Banī Mazār map poster captures the logic of the valley: long parallel lines of water and transport running north to south, and a dense town knotted around them. The desert edge gives the drawing a clean boundary, so the composition feels contained and deliberate even at the larger print sizes.
The Nile, the main railway and the highway run roughly parallel through the district. Together they draw strong north–south lines that set the rhythm of the whole map.
Irrigation canals, including the Bahr Yusuf to the west, branch through the fields in fine lines and link the villages that dot the farmland around the town.
The archaeological site at el-Bahnasa, ancient Oxyrhynchus, lies west of the town. It is known worldwide for the papyri recovered from its ancient rubbish mounds.

Koteā ko Banī Mazār
Many families from Upper and Middle Egypt stay closely tied to their home towns long after moving to Cairo or abroad. A map of Banī Mazār is a simple, understated reminder of that origin, drawn from the streets and canals themselves.
