Te mapa
Bayanhongor is the capital of Bayankhongor Province in central Mongolia. It sits at high altitude on the southern side of the Khangai Mountains. From above, the centre shows the orderly rectangles of a planned twentieth-century Mongolian town: wide streets, a central square, and apartment blocks in rows. Around this core lie ger districts, fenced plots with a looser pattern of their own.
The Tüin River runs past the town on its way south toward Orog Lake in the Gobi. Its channel adds a single meandering line to an otherwise geometric plan. Beyond the last fences the map opens abruptly into steppe and hills, crossed by tracks that run straight or gently curving toward other districts of the province.
A Bayanhongor map poster balances two textures: the rigid grid of the planned centre and the dotted fence-line pattern of the ger districts around it. Set against a lot of empty space, the town looks almost like an island in the landscape, which is close to how it feels when you arrive.
The core follows a clear rectangular layout with broad avenues and a central square, a legacy of socialist-era town planning.
The surrounding neighbourhoods are made of fenced household plots. On the map they appear as small, tightly packed parcels with irregular lanes between them.
The river passes the town on its way south toward Orog Lake, drawing a braided, winding line across the valley floor.

Koteā ko Bayanhongor
Few people pass through Bayanhongor by chance, so a map of it usually marks something personal: a family origin, a long posting, or a journey across the Khangai. The stark layout suits a minimal interior and holds up well at larger sizes.
You can change the title and subtitle, set your own coordinates line and pick one of five styles. Blueprint brings out the planned grid, and Sand gives a warmer, steppe-like tone. Files come as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF, and you can see a free watermarked preview first.
