Te mapa
Bearsden sits on rising ground northwest of Glasgow, in East Dunbartonshire. From above, the town is a network of curving residential roads, generous gardens and green spaces, with a railway line and main roads leading toward the city. The street pattern is relaxed and irregular, following the gentle contours of the land toward the hills to the north.
Bearsden lies on the line of the Antonine Wall, the Roman frontier built across central Scotland in the second century. The remains of a Roman bathhouse, uncovered in the 1970s, can still be visited in the town. Much of the housing developed from the late nineteenth century onward, when the railway made commuting to Glasgow practical.
A Bearsden map poster conveys a calm, green place with a structured core and looser edges. Parks, golf courses and wooded patches appear as open areas between streets. In black and white, the curving roads and the lighter open spaces create a quiet composition that reflects the character of the town well.
Residential roads bend gently across the slopes rather than forming a grid, giving the town a soft, flowing street pattern from above.
The route of the Roman frontier crosses the area, and the bathhouse remains sit within the town among modern streets.
Parks, golf courses and woodland break up the residential areas, appearing as lighter open shapes that give the map room to breathe.

Bearsden is where many Glasgow families put down roots, so its map often marks a family home or school years. The quiet street pattern looks refined on the wall of a study or hallway.
