Te mapa
Bhundsi, also written Bhondsi, is a village in Gurugram district in Haryana, on the southern side of the fast-growing city. It lies near Sohna Road, one of the main routes south from Gurugram, and close to the Aravalli hills, the ancient ridge that runs through this part of northern India. The area is changing quickly as the city expands towards it.
On a map, Bhundsi shows the meeting of two landscapes. The old village has a dense cluster of irregular lanes, while new roads and residential developments spread across the flatter land nearby. To one side, the Aravalli foothills rise, with few streets and a noticeably rougher texture. The contrast gives the design a strong sense of place.
Bhundsi is widely known as the location of a major district jail and several training and institutional campuses. A Bhundsi map poster suits residents, including those in the new housing nearby, and anyone who knows this edge of Gurugram. It captures an area in transition, between village, city and hills.
The original village is a tight mesh of lanes. On the poster it forms a dense, irregular cluster that stands apart from the newer, more regular development.
The ancient ridge rises near the village, with very few streets. On the map it appears as a largely open area, framing the settlement on one side.
The main road south from Gurugram passes close by. It forms a strong line on the map and links Bhundsi to the rapidly growing city.

Koteā ko Bhundsi
Gurugram changes so fast that a map is also a record of a moment. A print of Bhundsi marks where you lived when the city was reaching the hills, which makes it a good housewarming gift.
