Billingham Map Poster & Print
Billingham is a town in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, just north of the River Tees in northeast England. Its map has several distinct layers. A small historic village core sits around a green and an old parish church. Around it are residential estates and a pedestrian town centre, most of them built in the mid-twentieth century.
In the twentieth century Billingham was closely associated with the chemical industry, and the large ICI works south of the town shaped both its economy and its growth. The town is also known for the Billingham International Folklore Festival, which has brought dance groups from around the world since the 1960s.

The curved streets of the estates fill most of the frame, the old village streets are a small, irregular pattern among them, and the large industrial sites to the south appear as broad, open shapes.
