Te mapa
Bolu sits in a green basin in northwestern Turkey, roughly halfway between Istanbul and Ankara. On a map, the city forms a dense core on the flat valley floor. Streets spread outward until they meet the rising ground, where the pattern thins and gives way to the open contours of the surrounding mountains. The edges of the town are set by the terrain far more than by any planned boundary.
The main east–west road corridor between Turkey's two largest cities passes close by and shapes how the town connects to the rest of the country. The motorway crosses the Bolu Mountains nearby, partly through a long tunnel. Inside the city, older lanes near the centre are tighter and less regular, while newer districts on the outskirts are laid out in wider, more orderly blocks with apartment rows.
A Bolu map poster captures that contrast between a close-knit centre and the wide, wooded country around it. The region is known for its forests and upland lakes, including Abant to the southwest and the Yedigöller lakes to the north. The city is also home to Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, whose campus adds its own cluster of buildings and paths to the edge of the urban map.

The major route linking Istanbul and Ankara passes nearby and climbs over the Bolu Mountains, showing up as a strong line cutting across otherwise open terrain.
Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University forms its own distinct area, with campus roads and buildings set apart from the city's ordinary residential grid.

Koteā ko Bolu
Bolu matters to people who studied at its university, grew up in its valley, or stopped there on the long drive between Istanbul and Ankara. The map shows a town shaped by its mountains, and it looks quiet and orderly on a wall.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a graduation year, a family name or a date that matters. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
