Te mapa
Brown University was founded in 1764 and is one of the oldest universities in the United States. It occupies College Hill in Providence, Rhode Island, a neighbourhood of historic houses and steep streets. The campus is woven into the hill rather than enclosed, with buildings and greens between residential blocks.
On a map, the main green forms a clear rectangle at the top of the hill, framed by older college buildings, with the Van Wickle Gates at its western edge. Streets fall steeply toward downtown and the Providence River to the west, while Thayer Street, a busy commercial strip, runs north to south through the campus area. Further east, the land descends toward the Seekonk River.
A Brown University map poster captures that position between river valleys, with the campus sitting on high ground above the city. The mix of small blocks, green spaces and sloping streets gives the print a fine texture. It is a thoughtful keepsake of a place that feels both historic and lived in.

This north–south street cuts through the campus area, lined with shops and cafés that shape everyday student life.
College Hill rises between the Providence River to the west and the Seekonk to the east, giving the map clear natural edges.
