Te mapa
Bukit Gambir is in northwestern Johor, in southern Peninsular Malaysia, inland from the coast of the Strait of Malacca. It is a small town. The map shows a short grid of shophouse streets at its centre, a few residential areas off the main roads, and wide plantation land around it.
The countryside here is mainly agricultural, with oil palm and rubber the most common crops in this part of Johor. Plantations divide the land into large regular blocks with straight tracks, and the smaller roads and village lanes weave between them. Seen from above, the town is a small, dense spot in a mostly green and geometric landscape.
A Bukit Gambir map poster is a personal object. It is for people who grew up here, visited relatives here or have a family name tied to the town. The composition is spare: a compact town centre, the roads leaving it and the ordered plantation land around it. That simplicity suits the minimalist black-and-white format well.
A small cluster of streets at the heart of town holds shophouses and local businesses. It is the densest and most regular part of the map.
Oil palm and rubber estates surround the town in large, orderly blocks. Straight tracks divide the land into a clear grid-like pattern.
Outside the centre, houses line smaller winding roads and village lanes. They add a softer, looser texture at the edges of the print.
