Te mapa
Port Dickson is spread along the coast of Negeri Sembilan, facing the Strait of Malacca. From above it is less a compact town than a long coastal strip: a small centre near the harbour, and a road that follows the shoreline south past a series of beaches, resorts and villages. Low, green land lies behind the coast.
The town was developed in the nineteenth century as a port for tin shipments and is named after the British administrator John Frederick Dickson. Today it is best known as a beach destination within easy reach of Kuala Lumpur. At the southern end of the coast stands Cape Rachado, or Tanjung Tuan, with its historic lighthouse.
A Port Dickson map poster is shaped by the sea. The coastline forms a clean, gently curving edge, with the coastal road running alongside and short side roads leading inland. In black and white, the water becomes open space and the shoreline the main line of the design.
A road follows the shore for many kilometres, linking beaches, villages and resorts. On the map it traces the curve of the coast and ties the whole strip together.
The sea fills one side of the poster, meeting the land in a long, smooth coastline. Few maps give the water such a large share of the composition.
The headland of Tanjung Tuan marks the southern end of the Port Dickson coast. Its shape pushes out into the strait and gives the coastline a clear endpoint.

Koteā ko Port Dickson
Port Dickson is where many families from the Klang Valley have spent weekends and school holidays by the sea. A map of the coast keeps those trips close, whether in a living room or a holiday home.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a beach name or the year of a trip, and choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The poster is available digitally or printed.
